Custom Metrics - Often a project needs a rapidly made, custom measuring system to provide reliable data from which a key technical decision can be made. UPC are able to create such systems, from simple jigs to semi-automated measurement systems. We also have in-house metrology, tensile test facilities, mass balances, force gauges and an environmental chamber to suit most design verification tasks.

Design Compromise - Every product is formed around many conflicting design and manufacturing parameters. The art of design is knowing which ones have the strongest pull and at which time in the project. For design work we use ProE or SolidWorks, FEA and hand calculations, FMECA, FTA and Tolerance Analysis. Design verification testing to the highest standards is our norm.

A well measured and tested prototype often tells you much more than a hundred computer screens.
